'Kay... You all remember how I said my laptop was fixed up enough for me to use it for the awesomesauce artz again? Yeah... no. Turns out that this is not something that I will my crappy nonexistant tech skills can fix. Soo...

I hauled it to college, grabbed a guy on my bus who used to work for Tech Support, and shoved my laptop at him. Poor guy looked at me and started doing the whole 'mental patting of the cute girl's head while attempting to score some points and maybe get her number'. Yes. I am quite fine with using my gender and what appears to be permanent lolita appearance to get things from nerds. Anyways...

I have to send my laptop in to HP. Because apparently, HP screwed up and did something wrong. (Something about a chip in the motherboard being wrong and no longer processing, as well as not securing the cables from the laptop screen to the actual computery bits. I don't know. I'm an art fanatic for Loki's sake.) Good news, the screw-ups are covered by my warranty. Bad news, my warranty may have expired within the last week. Worse news, if the warranty holds and I do ship off the laptop, I have no method of arts for about an entire month.

On the other hand, a different techie buddy is convincing another techie buddy to take my laptop and do repairs on it within a week. But that option means I could actually have to pay for parts, pending on the severity.

On the upside, my techie compadres have learned that the pretty girl they keep trying to flirt with... yeeeah. She's a computer idiot who really is only in it for the art and the plot. So... I'm busy converting the computer I converted into the family's file storage machine back into the glorious job of being the Leviathan PC. Yes, this is the same PC that I got a virus on 2 years ago and ranted about. It's a nice piece of hardware, for all the suck of the monitor and the omg keyboard. Photoshop is no longer on this (seems the product license expired on me), so I've GIMP.


Anyone else notice how most of my issues seem to stem from the fact that most of the technology around me somehow BREAKS in less than a year of me having it? Either technology hates me, or I'm am seriously unlucky with the tech.

Oh.. I have to many things on my To-Do list. Seriously, I'm overambitious. By now you should know none of this will be done any time soon. And wtf happened to the Journal system? It's all... kinda pretty.
